Symposium on epilepsies, epileptic syndromes and EEG

February 28th, 2011
Comments Off

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Symposium on epilepsies, epileptic syndromes and EEG, to be held in Split, Croatia, on April 8th-9th, 2011. In the course of this two-day symposium, all the participants will have an exceptional opportunity to hear the lectures by six most eminent professors in the field of epilepsy and EEG, willing to provide them with invaluable insights into the most recent developments in the above-mentioned field. Therefore, we would like to invite all profiles of medical staff associted with EEG-PSG to attend the symposium as the lectures will be focused on the fields of their interest.

The Symposium is taking place in the beautiful city of Split, the largest Dalmatian city and the second-largest urban centre in Croatia.

Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area and is considered to be just over 1,700 years old. The ancient Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian is a part of the historical complex of Split and it dominates the centre of the town. The Palace was built as a massive structure, much like a Roman military fortress. It faces the sea on its south side, with its walls 170 to 200 meters (570 to 700 feet) long, and 15 to 20 meters (50 to 70 feet) high. Just in front of its walls there is Riva, one of the most popular places to enjoy a sunny day with a cup of excellent coffee. The most popular tourist attractions inside the Palace are Peristyle and the Cathedral of St. Dominis, as well as other beautiful substructures of Diocletian’s Palace. In 1979, UNESCO declared the historic centre of Split a World Heritage Monument.

There is no doubt that your stay in this beautiful town during the symposium will be the most pleasuarable one. Thus, let us once again express our warmest and most heartfelt welcome to all of you.

Sincerely Yours,
Biserka Rešić and David Neubauer
